This wine presents itself in kumquat, meyer lemon and candied ginger aromatics.
Whole cluster pressed and settled 1-2 days as juice before being fermented in barrel with native and commercial yeast for 3 weeks. Fermentation sediment was kept with the wine in barrel for 13 months before being bottled. After 9 months in bottle, the sediment was removed and a small amount of wine and sugar was added back in before the bottled were recapped.
The grapes for this wine were sourced exclusively from near the town of Philo in Anderson Valley. This is a unique wine growing region for sparkling wine, Pinot Noir grown there generally exhibits yellow and orange fruit characters due to cool, maritime climate and abbreviated day length due to the narrow valley. This vintage is a single vineyard and single clone wine that was kept separate.
