This medium-bodied Chardonnay is balanced, elegant and lively with floral, green herbs and nutty tones. Reminiscent of a premier cru Chablis.
Variety: 100% Chardonnay
Vineyards: Charles Heintz, Porter-Bass, Occidental Valley
Location: Sonoma Coast, CA
Alcohol: 13%
A balanced, elegant and modern approach to Chardonnay. Pretty floral, green herbs and nutty tones with a core of quince. The medium-bodied palate is lively and expressive, with ever-changing flavor layers and a long finish that hints at more to come. This is similar in style to a premier cru Chablis.
Wine went through full malolactic-fermentation on native yeast and aged 10 months in neutral French oak barrels.
This is a biodynamic wine from several sites along the Sonoma Coast. Porter-Bass Vineyard is closer to the ocean and delivers minerality and snap, while Charles Heintz Vineyard closer inland brings purity of fruit and depth of flavor.
