Aromas of raspberry, cherry, and currant, pop from the glass, opening to scents of bay laurel, sage, dried cranberry, hibiscus and crisp early rhubarb. The acids and tannins present and course the palate with a fresh and lively ease.
Each of the red cultivars were fermented and aged separately, in mostly neutral French oak, using natural methods and only minimal additions of sulfur.
