Alcohol: 11-14%
This is a well-balanced wine, beautifully mineral with zesty lemony fruit.
Grapes are pressed directly to barrel for fermentation and malolactic conversion. No battonage is done during elevage and the barrels are kept fully topped to prevent oxidation. Bottled unfined & unfiltered with minimal sulphur.
Domaine des Marnes Blanches was started by Pauline & Géraud Fromont when they were in their early twenties. Barely out of winemaking school, the couple purchased land in Cesancey, a small town in the Southern Jura. This assemblage comes from several plots around the town of Gevingey. The vines average 35 years old and are planted in classic marl and limestone.
