Fresh aromas of white flower and citrus. A rich, building texture without anything too heavy handed. A very impressive, high intensity finish.
Fermented and aged on the lees in used oak barrels.
Fabien Duveau is the 8th generation of his family to make wine in Samur-Champigny. Farming organically and cultivating biodiversity in and around the vineyards are integral to his aim of making wines that express both “the complex nature of the land and the know-how of its winemakers.” Lex Poyeux vineyard is almost exclusively planted to Cab Franc but Fabien’s mother still owns a mere 8 acres of Chenin (0.08 hectare) and as far as is known, he is the only person making a single parcel bottling of Les Poyeux blanc.
