The palate on this Syrah and Viognier blend is full of dark berry fruit and baking spice, while the nose remains light and floral.

On the palate, brambleberries and cherry pie with notes of cinnamon and orange zest. The bit of Viognier lends some delicate aromas.
Syrah and Viognier from adjacent blocks were cofermented with 70-80% whole clusters. Native fermentation with pigeage at the start of fermentation and punchdowns one to two times a day for 40 days. No SO2 or other additives were added to the musts. Basket pressed directly to barrel. Aged in cellar 24 months on the lees post malolactic fermentation in older Burgundy barrels and puncheons from assorted coopers. Racked to tank then bottled unfined and unfiltered.
Outlook is a sustainable vineyard in the Rattlesnake Hills AVA with granite and basalt cobblestone over basalt bedrock on a South-facing hillside at 1100’. Riverrock is a sustainable vineyard in The Rocks AVA composed of basalt cobblestone riverbed at 900’.
