Ravines 2019 Red Wine “Cerise”

The Wine: A blend of Pinot Noir and Blaüfrankisch with perfumed blackberries and cranberries along with a zesty herbaceousness. The silky mid-palatte is complemented by fine, crunchy tannins and a balanced, enduring spicy finish. 12.5% Alc.

The Winery: Located in the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York, Ravines Wine Cellars is led by Morten and Lisa Hallgren, a European winemaker and a chef, respectively. Founded in 2001, they quickly turned Ravines into the highly-acclaimed wine destination that it is today. They have had incredible success with dry white wines along with terroir-driven reds and refined, methode champenoise sparkling wines.

The Wine: Made from 100% Gamay, this is a crushable bright red wine true to its variety. Light, fresh and utterly charming. Wild strawberry and summer herbs with cranberry tartness. Wine was 100% whole cluster and native yeast fermented and underwent carbonic maceration and 6 months of aging. 12% Alc.

The Winery: The name Jolie-Laide translates loosely to "Pretty-Ugly," a french term of endearment to describe something that is unconventionally beautiful. Winemaker Scott Schultz and his partner Jenny Schultz use simple winemaking methods-whole cluster, foot crushed, indigenous yeasts, aged in neutral oak.

Land of Saints 2020 Grenache Nouveau Santa Barbara County

The Wine: Made from 100% Grenache, this wine is fresh, bright and bouncy, undergoing a native carbonic fermentation with just 5 weeks of post fermentation aging in stainless steel before bottling. 13% Alc.

The Winery: Land of Saints is a collaboration between Angela and Jason Osborne (of A Tribute to Grace Winery) and Manuel Cuevas (of C2 Cellars). They met in 2013 and their shared love of California and appetite for wine from Santa Barbara County led them to begin this project together. They are informed by their vastly different backgrounds, which lend their wines a distinctive perspective and sense of place. Varieties and sites differ intentionally from year to year to keep things fresh.
