This wine is cohesive with mid-palate structure. Increased mountain fruit in the blend adds weight and grip on the palate. The result is a wine with more presence and texture yet still driven by balance and restraint.

Fruit was destemmed and fermented in small open-top tanks, with hand punch-downs throughout fermentation. A small portion of Petit Verdot was cofermented alongside Cabernet Sauvignon. Following fermentation, the wine was pressed to neutral French oak barrels and aged for 16 months on its lees without racking. Bottled unfiltered.

For the 2024 vintage, vineyard sourcing was intentionally diversified, with a significant portion of the blend drawn from the rugged elevations of the Moon Mountain District. The core of the cuvée comes from Cabernet Sauvignon planted to the younger vines of the historic Montecillo Vineyard, alongside Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot from the extremely high-elevation blocks of Cavedale Vineyard. Rounding out the blend is the bush-vine Cabernet Sauvignon from Waterman Vineyard and Cabernet Sauvignon from Warm Springs Vineyard on the valley floor. Additional layers come from Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from Vigilante Vineyard, along with Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon from Pickberry Vineyard.
