This wine shows a refined structure and velvety texture, with notes of red berries, blueberry, violets and chestnuts.

Aged 18 months in 500 liter tonneaux, and over 6 months in bottle.

The Riserva is made from a selection of the best grapes (100% Sangiovese) on the highest vineyard on Lamole hill, 550 meters above sea level in sandstone soils. The Grassi family has been growing grapes and making wine at their estate, Casole, in Lamole since the 1600s. As well as making wine, the family was also the local blacksmith, I Fabbri, which became the name of their label.
