Variety: 50% Grenache, 30% Pinot Gris, 18% Syrah, 2% Muscat Location: Tehama County, CA Alcohol: 12.5% Production: 800 cases
Light-bodied, chillable red. Light enough to drink all day and stay refreshed, but with enough spice, texture and depth to stand up to any fresh warm-weather cooking. A riff on the lighter, high toned Southern Rhone reds of Eric Pfifferling of l’Anglore in Tavel, Bloom Phase uses skin macerated Pinot Gris to add some zest and levity to the Rhone-ish GSM blend.
100% whole cluster carbonic maceration for 7 days, followed by 7 days of gentle food treading. Grapes are then pressed off and the wine finishes primary fermentation in neutral oak and cuve tanks.
