A soulful, light-bodied red wine with flavors including strawberry, raspberry, red currant and hibiscus.
Reverse saignee method was used, where directly pressed Pinot Noir juice was added to a fermenter partially filled with destemmed Pinot Noir berries. Simultaneously, 50% Pinot Noir and 50% Pinot Gris were cofermented and the cap was lightly punched twice daily. They were barreled down separately and allowed to age for around 10 months before the two were blended together and bottled.
Sourced from the Johan Estate Vineyards located in the Van Duzer Corridor AVA of the Willamette Valley in calcareous, sedimentary soils with granite. Johan Estate Vineyard is biodynamically farmed and Demeter certified.
