Variety: Melon de Bourgogne
Location: Willamette Valley, OR
Alcohol: 11.8%
Spicy and intense, with a sweet herbal air giving way to crushed green apples, ginger and lime. Silky smooth with cooling minerality and vibrant acidity, this enlivens the palate with crisp orchard fruits and sour melon tones. It finishes fresh, crunchy and clean with a minty resonance that lingers.
A blend of whole cluster press and 36-hour skin macerated fruit. After pressing the juice off the skins, the wine was barrel fermented and aged on its original lees for 11 months.
Sourced from the Johan Estate Vineyards located in the Van Duzer Corridor AVA of the Willamette Valley in calcareous, sedimentary soils with granite. Johan Estate Vineyard is biodynamically farmed and Demeter certified.
