Medium-bodied, round and juicy with flavors of raspberry puree, spicy chicory root and clove, with notes of black tea. Bright acidity and integrated tannins.
Grapes were fermented using exclusively native yeast with approximately 28% whole cluster fermentation. The wine was aged for 11 months in French oak barrels, only 2% of which were new.
Sourced from the Johan Estate Vineyards located in the Van Duzer Corridor AVA of the Willamette Valley in calcareous, sedimentary soils with granite. Johan Estate Vineyard is biodynamically farmed and Demeter certified.
