A bright and citrus-driven rosé made from Gamay Noir grapes, framed with herbaceousness and striking minerality.
Vineyard: Witters Vineyard
Location: El Dorado, CA
Bright tangerine and grapefruit citrus, strawberry, fennel with a mineral wet rock appeal.
Picked early and whole cluster pressed to a combination of stainless, concrete and neutral oak for spontaneous fermentation and subsequent six month elevage.
From the first known true Gamay Noir plantings at high elevation in the Sierra Foothills. At 3300’ its one of the highest vineyards in California. Northernly exposition, rolling hillsides and a deep volcanic clay loam and quartz, Gamay thrives in this dramatic alpine environment.
