Ripe black currant, dark cherry, forest floor, and subtle herbaceousness. Firm tannins and balanced acidity with a long, polished finish.
100% Destemmed and cold soaked for 48hrs, after which the grapes were allowed to naturally warm to 85F where native fermentation started. Total time on the skins was about 26 days. After pressing, the wine was sent to neutral French oak barrels where it was allowed to go through native malolactic fermentation.
Farmed organically in the Calistoga AVA of Napa Valley.
