High-toned, crisp and refreshing with subtle aromas and flavors of citrus and orange blossom, crisp red apple, dried flowers and herbs. The wine is intensely light but its texture and refreshing tannins balance those bright flavors.
Whole cluster pressed, fermented and aged ‘sur lees’ in stainless steel barrels. Malolactic fermentation is blocked to preserve acidity.
Both vineyards are farmed organically. Windmill Vineyard is Certified Organic and is situated on pinkish gravelly alluvial soils in the Dunnigan Hills AVA of Yolo County. Hurley Vineyard is a tiny two-acre vineyard sitting at the base of the Silverado Trail in Napa Valley, alongside the Napa River. Cool clay soils and is Certified Organic.
