Deep ruby red with violet reflections. It has an aromatic profile entirely based on shades of red fruit, with hints of strawberry, raspberry and obvious cherry. On the sip it is soft and juicy, full-bodied and balanced in acidity, and with a pleasantly bitter finish.

Half of the grapes are vinified with carbonic maceration, while the other half is left to ferment on the skins for a short period at a controlled temperature. Aging lasts three months in the bottle.

The Motta family has been making wine in Maremma, near the southern Tuscan coast, since 1987. The vineyards are located just south of Grosseto and west of Scansano, bordering the Maremma nature reserve. Maremma turtles are guest vineyard caretakers meandering slowly through the vineyards. Motta is green-farmed, hand harvested and organically farmed. Certified Organic.
