Wild aromas of alpine strawberries, salumi, red raspberry preserves, forest floor and tiny red currants. The palate is medium-full, bright but supple with clean berry fruit and an exotic wildness to the wine which adds character and added dimensions of tertiary flavors that balance out all the big strawberry and red-raspberry preserve flavors.
100% whole cluster fermented and aged in neutral French oak 500L puncheons and concrete eggs.
Bedrock Vineyard is 152 acres in the heart of Sonoma County. Founded in 1854, Bedrock Vineyard has grown grapes for over 150 years. Alder Springs Vineyard, located in Mendocino, sits at high elevation with a coastal influence and vines are tended using a bonsai approach, plucking roughly ¾ of the fruit off each cluster to ensure concentrated flavor in each grape.
