Zinfandel, Barbera, Tempranillo and Mondeuse come together to form this highly aromatic and textural blend with ample fruit and lively acidity.

Varieties: Zinfandel, Barbera, Tempranillo, Mondeuse
Vineyard: Rorick Heritage Vineyard
Location: Calaberas County, CA
Alcohol: 12.6%

Wine has an aromatic complexity and good textural presence that are the hallmarks of wines grown on the limestone of the estate. It presents with compelling dynamic tension between its bright and forward fruit and the supple tannins and lively acidity that make up this wine’s backbone.

All fruit was hand-picked; spontaneous fermentation with native yeast. Barbera and Mondeuse fermented in open top fermenters with 100% stem inclusion; Zinfandel was destemmed and fermented in a closed-top tank. Juice averaged 14-21 days on the skins and placed into neutral oak barriques. Remained in a combination of neutral oak and stainless steel until being bottled unfined and unfiltered.

Grown on the Rorick Heritage Vineyards in Calaveras County at 2000’ elevation, featuring soils comprised of a layer of schist over dolomite-rick limestone.
