This wine can attribute its medium body and dark fruit notes to a blend of Pinot Noir and Blaüfrankisch. Expect bright acid and a touch of spice.

Spiced plums, black cherries and rose petals, with a touch of cinnamon and pepper. Juicy with an acidic backbone.
All grapes were destemmed and crushed, then fermented in open-top, stainless steel fermenters. Three weeks of skin contact with daily punchdowns and multiple pumpovers. Barrel aged separately in neutral oak barrels, then racked and blended with no fining and minimal filtration before bottling. Bottled after 11 months in 100% French oak barrels.
The Pinot Noir is from their 16 Falls Vineyard (clay/loam over shalestone soil and utilizes a lyre trellis system, planted in 1998-1999) and the Blaüfrankisch is from their White Springs Vineyard (honeoye loam over limestone soil and as a VSP trellis system, planted in 2013 and is one of few limestone sites in the Finger Lakes).
