An indigenous Italian white sometimes referred to as the “white Nebbiolo.” The varietal is akin to Riesling in acidity, yet a little higher in booze and weightier in texture.
The grapes are hand-harvested and see a short maceration of 12 hours and ferment in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks. After fermentation they are aged on the lees for 9 months with regular stirring.
The vineyard is in Colli Tortonesi in the Langhe, the eastern side of Piemonte. The soils are a mix of clay, sandstone, and limestone. The vineyard is farmed organically.
