This opens with aromas of violet, baking spice and tilled soil. The linear palate offers Marasca cherry, clove and tobacco alongside firm tannins.
Hand harvested and underwent spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Fermentation lasts 3-4 weeks and the wine continues to age in stainless steel for 12 months before bottling. The wines is released after 6 months of aging in the bottle.
The heart-shaped vineyard of San Guglielmo sits at 1300ft elevation and the soil is made up of clay and marl. The vines are 15-years-old and farmed organically.
