Light gold in color with brilliant clarity. White flowers, sea salt, citrus and flint. Precise with a mouthwatering finish.
Hand-harvested and gently whole cluster pressed. Fermented with native yeasts in French oak barrels and large-format foudre. Wine was then aged in neutral French oak barrels and one 200L foudre with extended aging on fine lees.
This wine is a blend of two Amador County vineyards. The first was planted in 1979 and grown at 1500ft in a mixture of iron rich volcanic, quartz and decomposed granite soils. Vines are head-trained, dry-farmed and own-rooted. The second vineyard was planted in 2020 in black gneiss and blue schist at 1900ft.
