Rich and flat late summer red fruit on the nose, vibrantly perfumed of rose petals and soft vine wood. Lean and masculine in texture, relatively svelte in fruit, this wine captures the rusticity of old world Cabernet. Cigar box, graphite, cedar, dusty and fine in texture with pronounced medium gripped tannins. Sweet rose petal envelope a linear backbone of chalky minerality that fades in the finish where structure and tannin persist.
De-stemmed, lightly crushed berries, 1-yr in neutral oak, 3-yrs in bottle.
