The nose is fresh with beautifully expressive wildflower and citrus notes dancing with hints of saline and smoky mineral in the background. In the mouth, vivid lemon and key lime fruits with hints of roasted nuts and sea spray that are mouth-watering and pure as sunshine.

A compilation of 4 separate picks over 22 days, based on flavor and acidity. The grapes go direct to press, and are fermented in barrel outside in the California sun. It is fermented with natural yeast, goes through full ML fermentation and is aged on lees without racking or SO2 until bottling. The wine aged for 19 months in old French oak barrels and was bottled with minimal sulfur and without filtration.

This wine is a blend of two Santa Maria Vineyards. The younger plantings are from Rancho Ontiveros Vineyard and the old vine plantings are from Rancho Vinedo Vineyard, planted in 1973. Both of these vineyards are farmed using organic farming practices.
