The color is a bright, deep ruby. Aromas of red fruits – sour cherries, blueberries, red cherries –along with spice, aromatic herbs and a touch of minerality. On the palate it is medium-to-full-bodied with interesting acidity and very high quality tannins, while aromas of red fruits, earth and metal together with tobacco and spices dominate.
Fermented and macerated in stainless steel vats. Full malolactic fermentation in oak and maturation in new French barriques for 12 months and in bottle for a further 6 months.
The Domaine Skouras was established in 1986. Over the years, it has created a disciplined, innovative and serious wine-producing presence. Owner George Skouras studied winemaking in Dijon, before returning and dedicating himself to exploring the potential of the famed Agiorgitiko grape. Grown in Corinthia at 1,040m on red clay soil, rich in minerals. Old vines, on average 24 years old.
