Pale straw in color. On the nose are mineral and river stone notes along with citrus blossom, white flowers and lemon zest. On the palate, it’s clean and crisp with hints of green apple and a vibrant, dancing acidity with a lovely lingering finish.
Fermentation lasted 2 weeks in 7 to 27-year-old barrels at 60 degrees. Wine was filtered to remove yeast and inhibit malolactic fermentation before being aged 10 months in neutral French oak barrels.
Stony Hill Vineyard is dry farmed. Fruit came from 23-32-year-old vines.
