A medium-bodied rosé made from a blend of Zinfandel and Carignan. Think wild red berries and bright green apple with a hint of earthiness.

Varieties: 60% Zinfandel, 40% Carignan
Vineyard: Chapman Vineyard
Location: Redwood Valley, CA
Alcohol: 13.2%

A mid-weight rosé with notes of wild strawberry and raspberry, stone fruit and green apple supported by fresh acids undercut with a subtle mushroom earthiness.

Carignan grapes are foot tread and left on skins for 12 hours before being pressed and fermented in stainless tanks. The Zinfandel is direct press into stainless tanks. The juice is blended right after primary fermentation for a 5 month elevage in stainless. The wine goes through full malolactic fermentation and is racked once before bottling.

Chapman Vineyard is all organic and dry farmed in red soil. The Carignan was planted in the 1960s and the Zinfandel was planted shortly after. The climate is cooler than surrounding appellations due to a gap in the coastal ridge which allows cool Pacific air currents to penetrate.
