A crisp orange wine made from a blend of Roussane, Vermentino, Picpoul Blanc and Viognier with a stony and tropical palate.

Variety: Roussanne, Vermentino, Picpoul Blanc, Viognier
Vineyard: Lovett Vineyard
Location: Lake County, CA
Alcohol: 12.2%
Production: 641 cases

A crisp natural orange wine with a stony and tropical fruit forward palate. Notes of candied apricots, garden roses, tangerine cutie and sea stone.

The first pick consisted of Vermentino, Viognier and Picpoul Blanc. The grapes were destemmed, cofermented and on the skins for 8 days before being pressed. The wine then got transferred to neutral oak barrels for 7 months. The second pick was a week later, and consisted of Roussanne and Vermentino. The grapes were destemmed, co-fermented and on the skins for 9 days before being pressed. The wine stayed in stainless steel tank for 7 months. The two lots were homogenized via a single tracking before bottling. Bottled unfined & unfiltered without the addition of SO2.

Located on a steep hill right on Clear Lake in Lake County, Lovett Vineyard is planted to vibrant Rhône varieties. These 20-year-old vines come with a picturesque view of the ancient lake and the volcanic Mount Konocti. Although it’s been dormant for about 10,000 years, the volcano continues to have an effect on the beautiful landscape and amazing soils found within the vineyard itself.
