Medium-bodied and garnet in color with an earthy yet floral nose with hints of lavender. Silky on the palate with notes of currents, dried stone fruit, bing cherry and rose petal framed by gentle tannins and a long finish.
Hand-harvested and destemmed with skin maceration for 2-3 weeks with daily punchdowns. Fermented on wild yeast collected from the vineyard and aged in neutral oak barrels.
The vines were originally planted in 1979 in Bellpine soils. Crow Valley vineyard is practicing organic farming with minimal intervention and no irrigation.
