Variety: Pinot Meunier
Location: Russian River Valley, CA
Alcohol: 12%
This wine is medium-bodied, light garnet in color with aromas of cherry, cranberry, lavender, black tea and savory herbs. Lovely acidity and soft tannins make for an elegant wine that is light on its feet.
Native yeast, low sulfur, and minimal intervention in the cellar. Sees 10 months in neutral barrel before being bottled unfined & unfiltered.
At 45-years-old, these vines are from the oldest vineyard in the Russian River and are organically farmed. While common in sparkling, Pinot Meunier is rare as a still wine.
