A fun, chillable “glou glou” red. A light but bright red color with bright cherry and watermelon jolly ranch flavors. Drink chilled on a hot summer day, or a day you want to pretend like it is! The wine is named “L’il Trouble” after their newest Nigerian Dwarf goat, Trouble! This super drinkable wine will disappear in your glass and could cause a l’il trouble!

Cinsault was picked at 20 brix, with the dual purpose of making a Rosé, and using an uncommon vinification method for a red. The grapes were crushed & destemmed, and then fermentation started via native yeast in ¾ ton bins. After 5 days, about 1/2 the normal maceration time (the time on the skins), the grapes were pressed off the skins to finish fermenting and 7 months elevage (aging) in both stainless steel and old neutral French oak barrels.

This vineyard was a referral from legendary viticulturist & winemaker Steve Matthiasson, who was the original vineyard consultant, and procures grapes from this vineyard himself. This large ranch is planted with a variety of production organic fruit trees, providing a healthier bio-diverse growing environment, on alluvial, gravelly soils. Certified organic.
