Translucent strawberry pink in color, like peach stained with pomegranate. Flavors of strawberries infused with dark spices, honeysuckle and purple basil. It is a step further than “orange wine” in a sense. In one moment it can feel like an exotic and intoxicatingly floral white and just seconds later it will have transitioned into a more bloody and sanguine mode.
Equal parts red, white and pink grapes. Fermented spontaneously in a 20l wood vat to dryness for 12 days before being pressed to old puncheons. Bottled unfined & unfiltered.
The cuttings for this field blend come from a 100+ year-old interplanted vineyard in Tenerife. Grown on a sandy plateau protected from the wine by columnar basalt mounds. Farmed using organic and biodynamic methods.
